Shoe Series II & III

Vine Shoe Button Shoe
Recycled shoe, florals, leaves,
vine.
Recycled shoe, buttons.

C. 2004
The very high heel of the Vine Shoe suggested a very tall tree, vines dangling, surrounded by lush flowers in an untended forest.
On the Button Shoe, collected buttons were adhered to shoe surface with hot-glue gun. The low heel and the clean lines of this shoe called for a very simple design---hence, the prominent monotone of the buttons, with red buttons applied for emphasis on toe and heel of shoe. Form and line of designs were dictated by materials at hand in the studio.
